What do the room rates include?
The room rates include: Wi-Fi internet connection in every room and throughout the entire building, private car park and garage, fitness room on the 18th floor. Tourist tax excluded and to be paid at the hotel.
How do I know if my booking has been confirmed?
Immediately after booking you will receive a confirmation email with an overview of your stay.
What happens if I cancel my booking?
Bookings made directly through the www.towerhotelbologna.com website without using any special offer can be cancelled and/or changed without any penalty up until the day before your arrival, by 6:00pm.
For other special offers refer to the cancellation policy stated in the relative promotional offer.
Is breakfast included in the price?
Breakfast must be paid for and can be purchased directly on-line for the price of 6€ instead of 10€.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
The room can be occupied after 2:00pm on the day of your arrival. For check-out, the room needs to be free by 12 noon.
Can I stay longer (late check-out)?
For any specific need on your check-out day, please contact our staff in advance by sending an email to [email protected] or by phoning, we will be glad to meet your requirements.
Is there a tourist tax to pay?
Yes, the Municipality of Bologna has established a Tourist Tax which varies according to the price range (net of VAT and additional services) relating to the cost per person of the room.
Starting from April 1, 2025, until December 31, 2025, the new rates will come into effect:
- Range €1.00 – €30.99: €4.00 per person per overnight stay;
- Range €31 – €70.99: €5.80 per person per overnight stay;
- Range €71 – €120.99: €6.50 per person per overnight stay;
- Range above €121: €7.00 per person per overnight stay.
The contribution must be paid directly at the hotel reception and the amount will be paid entirely to the city authorities and does not in any way concern the payment for hotel services.
Starting from January 1, 2026, the rates will return to the ones currently in effect.
- Range €1.00 – €30.99: €3.00 per person per overnight stay;
- Range €31 – €70.99: €4.20 per person per overnight stay;
- Range €71 – €120.99: €4.60 per person per overnight stay;
- Range above €121: €5.00 per person per overnight stay.
The following are exempt from paying the tourist tax:
- Residents of the Municipality of Bologna
- Children under 14 years old
- University students regularly enrolled at the University of Bologna if staying in university residences
- Individuals with severe disabilities whose condition is certified under Article 3, paragraph 3 of Law No. 104/92 and similar provisions in the countries of origin for foreign citizens and one accompanying person.
Are there baby cots in the rooms?
Baby cots are available on request. They are free for children under the age of three.
Do you have infrastructures and services dedicated to differently-abled travellers?
Yes, there are rooms equipped for travelers with special needs and without any architectural barriers. We guarantee complete access to all of the hotel’s areas and facilities. Accessible rooms are available on request and without any additional costs, however, they are subject to availability for the requested dates.
Are there rooms for non-smokers?
Strictly non-smoking rooms are available.
Does the hotel offer access to the Internet?
Yes, the Wi-fi connection is available free of charge in every room and throughout the entire Best Western Plus Tower Hotel Bologna building, including the restaurant. There is also an internet point with 2 computers, printer and scanner in the hall.
How much does the internet connection cost?
The internet connection is completely free of charge.
What is your policy on pets?
Guests can bring small pets with advance booking. Pets are only allowed in the rooms (max 2), the cost is 10 € per animal per night, plus 30 € for final cleaning.
What time is breakfast served?
Our American breakfast assisted buffet is served every morning from Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 10:00am, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am to 10:30am in the breakfast room on the 1st floor.
What are the restaurant opening times?
